There Will Be Knock-offs

The idea for this project begin with my wanting to handcraft an heirloom for my granddaughter. As I thought through how to go forward with making these available to others, it became clear that in order to be successful, I would have to differentiate the CulturcraftLabs brand based on craftsmanship, originality, and on a vision to have fun promoting cultural inclusion. It's also important to me that we produce our modest suite of products in a way that doesn't make this planet worse off for our grandchildren, and in a way that doesn't exploit others.

So while I reached out to a several offshore manufacturing companies in hopes of making these blocks available in greater numbers and at a lower price, I ending up investing in the tools and resources I needed to produce CulturCubes in-house, in my basement in fact. It was simply not possible to outsource the production of custom toy wooden blocks with quality one would expect in an offering worthy to be cherished and passed down as a family heirloom.

I'm certain knock-offs of CulturcraftLabs CulturCubes will come, but we'll give thanks and trust that our blessings will be sustained, so long as we stay true to our values and purpose.
